Elizabeth A. Lunt
Elizabeth Lunt has more than thirty-five years of trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts. Her criminal defense practice covers a wide range of felonies, including first degree murder, sex offenses, drug offenses, racketeering and fraud, misdemeanors, restraining orders and juvenile delinquency cases. She has extensive experience in trial and pre-trial practice and also in litigating new trial motions, motions to withdraw guilty pleas, and appeals.
Ms. Lunt’s civil litigation practice includes representation of professionals in licensing matters and both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and civil rights cases.
Ms. Lunt is listed in Best Lawyers in America for both white collar and non-white collar criminal defense, as a “Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine, and maintains the highest rating by Martindale Hubbell. She is a regular lecturer at CLE and bar association programs on various aspects of trial and post-conviction practice.
Ms. Lunt is a past president and current board member of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL). She serves currently on the Supreme Judicial Court Nominating Commission and as President of the Board of the Community Legal Services and Counseling Center. She is a former member of the BBA Council and Executive Committee, the BBA Amicus Committee and the First Circuit Rules Advisory Committee.
