Jackson Estrin
Associate
I work with clients in all of the firm’s practice areas: criminal defense, employment, higher education, and appeals.
Prior ExperienceI joined Zalkind as an associate in 2025 after graduating from law school. During law school, I interned for the Honorable Patti B. Saris at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, at a labor and employment law firm in Boston, and at the United States Department of Justice. I also worked for a Cambridge-based immigration nonprofit organization, where I assisted employers in sponsoring immigrant workers for Permanent Resident Cards. Prior to law school, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, where I worked as a Spanish Literacy Promoter at a primary school.
Why I Became a LawyerI went to law school after several years as an education worker, where I navigated cross-cultural barriers while collaborating with educators in both the Dominican Republic and Spain. I decided to become a lawyer following formative internship experiences during college, where I worked at a public defender’s office and a small criminal defense firm, observing firsthand the profound impact that effective representation can have on individuals' lives. I am deeply committed to standing up for individual rights and guiding clients through the complexities of the legal system.
